Thief steals iPhones ..by mistake!

Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to someone banging on your door. You open it and see a man upset, along with his girlfriend, because a stranger stole her device and the Find my phone app led them straight to your house. Also imagine this happening over and over again. Nightmare, huh?

But for Wayne Dobson, it's a daily occurrence. As he says, he never imagined in his life that something like this could happen to him. Because of Sprint's location-tracking services, which directs owners of lost and stolen iPhones and more, as well as police, to Dobson's home in North Las Vegas for the past two years.

"In the past two years, the 59-year-old retiree has been pestered by people showing up at all hours of the day and night at his house, demanding their phones. They've yelled, shown him evidence, called the police – swore that their phone is in his house..

...The problem appears to be limited to some owners of Sprint phones. Company officials said they are investigating the problem, which has forced Dobson to sleep near his front door on weekends so he can answer the door quickly at all hours.

"It's a hell of a problem," he said. “It would be nice to be able to get a good night's sleep.”

Dobson's troubles began in 2011, when a couple knocked on his door around midnight one weekend. The man was convinced that Dobson had taken their phone and the app had led them directly to his house, via Find my phone. But the 59-year-old had no idea what they were asking for.

After a few days he realized that the problem was much bigger. He caught strangers looking out his window or in his backyard many times. Someone could have thought he was crazy. He says he has now contacted Sprint and they are working to resolve and fix the problem.

Lies, the truth is we are just passing it on to you!
