Anonymous Italy and LulzSec Italy joined their forces and hacked a large number of job search portals and leaked some of their information on the Internet!
The hackers announced the leak on Saturday 9 April, as part of their new campaign #NessunDorma which means “No one sleeps”.
The two groups launched this campaign to raise an alarm in the companies operating in Italy. The first stage was to inform and sensitize the public about the complex working conditions of locals and foreigners in the country.
The hacktivists are dissatisfied with Giuliano Poletti, the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, and Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, who are preparing new laws that will benefit companies more than the workforce.
Hackers demand a minimum wage of €8 per hour and mandatory health insurance for employees who have been hired on a fixed-term contract.

The Anonymous and LulzSec say that the data they exfiltrated includes 4 million records, of which 1.8 million are user data and altogether it is 1.5 GB. They also claim they have half a million job evaluations and 7,000 contact details from large companies operating in Italy. Some of these belong to Italian job search offices but not only. The data was published in 6 different files on the MEGA service.
According to researchers from Risk Based Security all the compromised websites are related to each other since they were created by the same Web Design office called Engitel. Data from Engitel is also included in the leak.
Before this campaign, Anonymous Italy had launched DDoS attacks against various regional government portals due to Italy's participation in the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project. Additionally, two weeks ago a 16-year-old in Italy was arrested for DDoS attacks, as part of the Anonymous campaign #OpSafePharma.
