The Ministry of Public Order & Citizen Protection, in collaboration with the Hellenic Police Headquarters and the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate, organized a Conference on the topic: "Safe surfing on the internet is everyone's business", which was addressed to students with disabilities and/or special educational needs.
The event was attended by the Minister of Public Order & Citizen Protection, Mr. Vasilis Kikilias, while the Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Police, Lieutenant General Spyridon Papaspyrou, delivered a speech.
The event took place on Wednesday morning, at the Athens Concert Hall, while the audience consisted of approximately 100 students from the Athens Special High School and the Ilio Special High School, along with their accompanying teachers.

The aim of the Conference was to inform the sensitive group of children about the dangers of the internet and about ways to address the challenges of the digital world, as the equal participation of these students in the knowledge society and modern technologies is of utmost importance.
At the same time, the innovative CYBERKID application was showcased, with the use of which and through the CYBERALERT line, it enables children to communicate directly and in real time, in case of danger or threat, with Officers of the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate, through the use of an innovative (touchscreen call) "Cyber Alert" procedure, but also by sending an electronic message.
The conference was opened by the Athens College student choir with Christmas carols for the young students, while commemorative gifts and educational material were distributed.
