The folks at Venetasoft were among the first developers to create an app that allowed Windows Phone 8.1 users to edit and trim their videos.
Movie Maker is not free, but until May 1st, it was the only video editor in the Windows Phone Store that was fully compatible with Windows Phone 8.1.
However, on May 1, Microsoft launched its own video editing app for Windows Phone 8.1, called Movie Moments.
Those who have purchased Movie Maker will be happy to know that the app has just received an updated version that brings significant new features and improvements.
The most important seems to be the ability to save/restore a movie while on the go. Additionally, the developers have added a new option that allows users to share their videos on Facebook and other apps that support Windows Phone 8.1 share.
Finally, Venetasoft claims that Movie Maker now features a new UI with a precision timeline and Modern control tools.
You can download Movie Maker for Windows Phone 8.1 for $1.49 from the Windows Phone Store. Please note that this app is only compatible with devices running Windows Phone 8.1 and above.
