USA vs. Japan: Robot Clash
Giant, humanoid (and non-human) robots have traditionally held a special fascination for children, but also for adults: Everyone has at some point come into "contact" with cartoons , films, comics or games featuring giant robot warriors - the main inspiration for which comes from the Land of the Rising Sun, where the so-called "mecha" are truly part of the culture there.

The image of large war robots most recently appeared in Guillermo del Toro's film Pacific Rim - however, some hope to bring something like this closer to reality, if only at the level of demonstration - "championship" anyway, and not the survival of humanity against monstrous alien enemies as in Pacific Rim.
In particular, the American MegaBots Inc, which specializes in the field of large robots, challenged the Japanese Suidobashi Heavy Industry to a...duel via video on YouTube.
"You have a huge robot, we have a huge robot. You know what needs to be done," one of the company's executives says in the video, wearing the star-studded suit.
Kogoro Kurata, founder of Suidobashi, was not going to leave the challenge unanswered: In his own video, dressed in Japanese attire, he accepts the challenge and emphasizes that it is not possible for any other country than Japan to win the battle, as giant robots are "Japanese culture.".
MegaBots seeks to create a "sport of the future", with battles between giant robots and recently unveiled the Mark II, five meters tall and with a series of "weapon systems" (obviously non-lethal - they are essentially paintball guns).
It is noted that Kurata, with his 4-ton robot, prefers the confrontation to be "body to body" rather than with weapons. "Come on, let's make it cooler. Justbuilding something huge and loading it with weapons, it's... very American."
It's worth watching the video:
