Facebook is facing hundreds of thousands of plaintiffs who claim the social network is violating California state law that states that “all purchases are final.” In the U.S., companies that have faced similar lawsuits have lost cases when minors make purchases without their guardians’ permission.
Facebook has failed to legally prevent the discussion from going to trial, although the judge has ruled that any potential refunds will not be given in aggregate, but rather on a case-by-case basis.
