Hacking of Lenovo's official website by Lizard Squad

hackingThe Lizard Squad group has reportedly carried out a successful hacking on Lenovo's official website.

The page is currently offline, but previously displayed a slideshow of photos of hackers in disguise, with the music of "Breaking Free" from High School Musical playing in the background.Lenovo hack lenovo

The website hack that caused it to become defaced couldn't have come at a worse time for the company. The attack follows a story we published last week that alleged that Lenovo was using malware on its consumers' computers.

On the now-defaced website, when the video ends, it automatically redirects to a Twitter account used by the Lizard Squad.

The attack appears to have been carried out using DNS hijacking.
