According to a McKinsey report, 60% of the world's population does not have access to the Internet, a figure corresponding to 4 billion people.
Four billion people do not have access to the Internet
Central Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East are among the regions with the fewest Internet users, relative to the rest of the planet.
Also in the US, one in five residents does not go online. The main reasons for lack of access are poverty, lack of familiarity with new technologies and lack of infrastructure. However, it is estimated that one billion people will have access by 2017.
