are wreaking havoc on government and non-government targets Iranian hackers. For at least two years, there have been incidents of infiltration of networks of government organizations and strategic private sector targets in the energy sector in the US, Turkey and 14 other countries around the world.
Iranians have stolen “sensitive” data from at least 50 companies worldwide, including 10 American companies. American cybersecurity firm Cylance warns that “the likelihood of an attack that would have national and global physical impacts is rapidly increasing.”
According to an extensive report by Cylance, the Iranian hackers' attempts have so far targeted the following countries:

13. Qatar

The Iranian cyber-piracy operation has been nicknamed “Operation Clever”. The worrying aspect of the Iranians’ actions is that for the first time in history, such a rapid development in the technical capabilities of the hacker group has been observed. The targets of cyber-attacks have been the military and defense sectors, aerospace, oil and gas, energy and services, transportation and especially airlines, education, chemicals, and include both private businesses and government sectors.
According to the report, the attempted attacks are geographically located in the Iranian Tehran, but additional traces have also been identified in countries such as the Netherlands, Canada and Britain. In fact, this hacker network is considered responsible for the attack on the US Navy in 2013.
So far, the attackers have “successfully evaded detection with existing security technologies.” However, it is not known how the intrusions and data interceptions are determined.
Iran itself has been targeted. A warm worm known as Stuxnetwas linked to the temporary halt of Iran's uranium enrichment program in 2010. Two years later, Iran announced that it had successfully thwarted another cyberattack, targeting a power plant and other industries in the south of the country.
