As announced in a post by Google Chrome Developers, searching on Google from mobile devices is 100 to 150ms faster if the user uses the Chrome browser on Android.
The new Chrome feature for Android phones and tablets is called reactive prefetch and what it does is "fetch" the page's information faster, before the page even loads.
Apart from the work of Google engineers, this can be done because Chrome tells the website what to load, as it "knows" in advance which websites the user will ultimately visit, through statistics and of course the page ranking in Google results.
