The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are warning current and former U.S. military personnel about their protection from the terrorist group ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) on American soil. They are urging all military personnel to remove any information about themselves and their families from social mediathat could be used by terrorists to harm them.
According to FBI, the ISIS group has placed individuals with the aim of monitoring and intercepting information from military accounts on these networks.
Indeed, after the incident in Canada last month, where 2 soldiers were killed by ISIS members, the country's authorities are particularly concerned.
Although they have not yet identified how terrorists monitor the social networks, despite increased security, everyone has been notified to be especially careful or even delete their accounts.
