A British company is one step closer to submitting proposals to aircraft manufacturers for the plane of the future. It is an aircraft whose cabin will have no windows, but its walls will be essentially computer screens that will allow you to surf the internet at an altitude of 35,000 feet.
The walls will be touchscreens and will have a background of what one would see if they actually had windows, namely clouds and sky. In fact, the color of the sky will change to give the illusion of time, whether it is day or night.
According to the initiators of this innovative project, the lack of windows makes the fuselage lighter and therefore will result in cost reductions for airlines that consume less fuel.
The project, developed by a team of employees at the Innovation Center (CPI), is still in the planning stage.
