“Cortana” is Microsoft's virtual assistant, which is expected to enter the lives of Windows 9 users.
After Windows 8's generally admitted failure to convince Windows 7 users to upgrade their operating system, Microsoft is preparing to bring Windows 9 with a mix of new and old.
One of the novelties of Windows 9 is something that has never appeared before on PCs and laptops, and that is Microsoft's virtual reality assistant, named Cortana.
Cortana is the evolution of other virtual assistants such as Siri and Google Now, with Microsoft inviting users to speak naturally to their virtual assistant and to "spend" time with Cortana, as the more the user talks to her, the more she learns about herself and can serve them better.
According to recent reports, Microsoft intends to introduce Cortana with Windows 9, and recently released screenshots of Windows 9 featuring the new virtual assistant.
