Goodwill Industries has confirmed that its supplier's system was attacked by malware, putting its customers' credit card information at risk.
The issue was initially reported in July, and the organization said it was working with federal authorities to investigate the matter.
After investigating, the organization found that the malware was installed on the vendor's system used by 20 Goodwill customers (about 10% of all stores) and processes credit card.
The affected systems contained names, payment card numbers and expiration dates. The company says it has found no evidence that any of its customers' personal information was affected by the breach.
