Earlier last month, it was down for an hour. On Wednesday, Facebook disappeared from users' screens for about 15-20 minutes. So what's going on with the popular social network?
At a time when rumors were rife among users who were using other social media platforms at the time, a Facebook spokesperson sent the following statement-explanation of the phenomenon to the American site TNW:
"Earlier today (ed.: Wednesday) we encountered an error. It had to do with a change in infrastructure configuration that briefly made it difficult for users to access Facebook. We immediately discovered the issue and fixed it in a short time, so that users have access as immediately as possible. We understand that this latest incident has created disruption and we are already investigating exactly what happened, so as to ensure that Facebook will always be there for the people who need it," the company spokesperson stressed.
