Microsoft may have decided to permanently end support for Windows XP , but it remains a popular operating system with many users still using it.
The user base is large and Greek programmer harkaz, collected all of Microsoft's updates and created an unofficial Service Pack 4 for Windows XP, through a forum thread titled, Starting a Windows XP Service Pack 4 Project.
The update contains the upgraded versions of: .NET framework, Internet Explorer 8, Windows Media Player 11, XPS Viewer EP, IMAPIv2, Remote Desktop Connection Client 7.0, Windows Search 4.0, Windows Rights Management Client, Windows Installer 4.5 as well as Adobe Flash Player upgraded to May 2014.
The beta 3 version of the unofficial Windows XP SP4 is available from softpedia.
