Script of the day: PHP Server Monitor

PHP Server Monitor

PHP Server Monitor is an open source tool for monitoring servers and websites.

PHPServerMonitor is a application that acts as a central node that detects and then records status changes of local or remote servers.

The script can be used for local systems, for computers with LAN infrastructures or with Internet accessible servers.

The application can monitor servers with IP: port format, websites, as well as specific services (e.g. IMAP Services), through a simple web based interface.

PHP ServerMonitor records all data in a MySQL database and can be used to monitor important nodes and notify users whenever a node goes offline.

Notifications are sent via email, while SMS notifications are also supported, through services such as Clickatell, Inetworx, Mollie, Mosms, Spryng, and Textmarketer.

Additionally, there is support for Pushover notifications, so notifications can be sent directly to computers, Apple devices, or Android devices.

Based on the recorded data, PHP Server Monitor displays simple charts, and shows the progress of each server or service, helping users identify and address specific problems that arise on a regular basis.
