Eavesdropping techniques can bypass the encryption process as well as the backup via supercomputers – “There is no way to protect yourself, unless you completely dismantle your device and again without much hope,” said a security researcher

Personal data, messages, emails, photos and even contact lists can be intercepted from iPhones using techniques that are unknown to most technical experts and security services. These interception techniques can bypass the encryption process and the backup via supercomputers.

At a recent conference, security researcher Jonathan Zydraski said that no iPhone user is able to know what information can be stolen from their device at any given time or to prevent those who can steal their personal information.

"There is no way to protect yourself unless you completely destroy your device, and again without much hope," Mr. Zydraski said at the Hackers on Planet Earth conference, aiming to show the cooperation between Apple and the secret services of the United States of America.

"We have designed iOS so that its functions do not compromise the privacy of users and owners of these devices, but there is no way that the IT departments of interested companies will not be able to intercept any data they wish," stressed Mr. Zydraski

As reported by Reuters, the tech giant Apple, indirectly acknowledging the problem, has pledged to redesign some systems in the future to make it more difficult to intercept personal data.

In fact, the Reuters agency itself, to reassure iPhone owners, emphasizes that they are more secure than any other device from competitor Google, whose Android operating system is considered less secure against the theft of personal data.
