The methods of implementing the Safe Browsing on the Internet program were agreed upon in a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Alexandros Dermentzopoulos, and Brigadier General Manolis Sfakianakis, Director of the Directorate of the Prosecution of Electronic Crime of the Hellenic Police.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Education, from the new school year, specialized officers with special duties, who hold master's and doctoral degrees, will be connected via the Internet, simultaneously, with schools in the territory, where the dangers of the Internet, protection against them and safe handling of them will be presented in an understandable and accessible way to students.
The aim of the Ministries of Education and Citizen Protection is for this action to cover all school units in the territory from the 1st Primary School level to the 3rd High School level and for the overall information to be completed by the end of the 2014-2015 school year.
