More than 80,000 measurements of the speed and quality of ADSL/VDSL broadband connections have been made to date by approximately 12,300 registered users of YPERION, EETT's innovative and reliable " Broadband Connection Quality Assessment System "
the button , users can measure and compare the performance, actual speed and quality characteristics of broadband connection by geographical area, connection package and time of day. They can also check if the provider is limiting access to selected services, preventing the optimal use of their connection speed. In addition, HYPERION offers users the ability to keep history, graphical representation on the map and statistical data of the measurements.
The recognized and transparent methodology, based on the NDT and GlasNost measurement tools of the open platform of the Measurement Lab Partnership (M-Lab), combined with the unique feature of the System to perform speed measurements at a neutral interconnection point (GR-ΙΧ node) in relation to the subscriber's provider's network - excluding any influence on the measurement from traffic on networks of other providers in Greece or abroad - make HYPERION the most reliable application for assessing speed on fixed Internet.
With priorities of transparency in the subscriber-provider relationship and protection from unfair practices, EETT invites subscribers from every part of Greece to contribute with their measurements to HYPERION to the creation of the first digital map of broadband coverage in our country.
