Lately, it has been increasingly heard that young people are moving away from Facebook, showing their preference for alternative social networks, however, this does not seem to be the case.
According to a Forrester study, the "escape" of young people from Facebook is very small, with most continuing to "fanatically" use it.
The survey involved 4,517 teenagers from the US, between 12 and 17 years old(note: to register, one must be 13 years old) and was asked whether and how often they use social networks.
The results show that more than 75% of young people use Facebook, which is almost double the percentage of use of Pinterest, Tumblr and Snapchat, and more than the popular Instagram and WhatsApp.
Of these, 28% use Facebook “all day long,” which is again the highest percentage of continuous use compared to other social networks.
As shown in the graph below, Facebook is high in the preference of young people, while Youtube.
