Microsoft developers an up-close and personal look at its plans for Windows at last week's Build conference.
Amidst all the excitement and other developments, he also showed screenshots of the company's operating system for cars.
It was presented by Steve Teixeira, a Microsoft development executive , and the system bears a striking resemblance to Apple's recently unveiled CarPlay system. In the four-minute presentation, Teixeira describes the system as projecting your phone's screen onto your car's display.
The Windows menu for the car system includes options for accessing maps, making phone calls, sending text messages, playing music, and viewing information about your car's status. There is also a special menu that allows you to view all your applications on one screen.
