A scandal has arisen in the church circles of the city of Trikala with the revelation that a priest who served in a village of the wider area fled the parish and went in an unknown direction.
According to thessalianews.gr, the aforementioned priest, through his personal Facebook page, had essentially announced his resignation and his voluntary departure from the local Church a short time ago.
Now the case will take the path of ecclesiastical justice, as is done in similar cases, and the priest, if ultimately convicted, will be reinstated to the lay clergy.
It is noted that Ieréas (who is not of Trikala origin) cannot be located by anyone and does not answer the phone calls, nor those of the Metropolis, nor the president of the Community who is searching for him.
