Ottawa, Canada for 30 of the 33 charges he faced.
The teenage defendant was arrested in June 2012, when she was just 15 years old, as according to the police, she approached underage girls, aged 13 to 17, via Facebook and other social media, pretending to want to be their friend.
She then allegedly threatened, blackmailed, or even held the minors against their will and forced them to take pornographic photos for dozens of her clients.
In fact, three of the victims were forced into sexual encounters with men.
The charges she was found guilty of include human trafficking, illegal detention, assault, sexual assault and distribution of child pornography.
During the hearing, the minor pleaded not guilty, while Canadian prosecutors have stated that they intend to request, following a psychological evaluation, an adult sentence for her. She herself had pleaded not guilty.
It should be noted that along with the 17-year-old, two other underage girls were arrested who are alleged to be her accomplices in the operation of the ring.
The two minors had initially declared their innocence, however, they later changed their stance and admitted their guilt.
