The official Angry Birds website (angrybirds.com) has reportedly been hacked. Hackers from the Syrian Electronic Army say a friend of theirs hacked and defaced the website.
While no one seems to have seen the Angry Birds website while it was compromised, a screenshot of it exists on zone-h.org that corroborates the claims.
Angrybirds.com has been targeted following revelations that the NSA and GCHQ were collecting sensitive personal data through mobile apps, including Angry Birds.
Rovio Entertainment Ltd to digitoday.fi that the Angry Birds website had been compromised for a short time. However, researchers from F-Secure say that the attack was likely a DNS attack, and not an actual breach of angrybirds.com. confirmedrepresentatives
