Police and Cybercrime Prosecution against a 39-year-old Greek man from Edessa.
This specific case was preceded by a complaint, according to which a specific user of a social networking website had come into contact with an underage girl and, with lewd suggestions, had insulted her sexual dignity.
From the digital online investigation, following an order from the Athens First Instance Prosecutor's Office for a preliminary examination and in collaboration with the company of the specific online space, the involvement and details of the 39-year-old Greek were identified.
According to the police, during the investigation, which took place on 17.1.2014 in the presence of a judicial officer, at the 39-year-old's home in Edessa, and from the on-site examination of his computer, it emerged that the aforementioned person was the user of the controversial profile on the social networking website.
Also, as part of the investigation, a laptop and a hard drive were found and seized, which will be sent to the Criminal Investigations Directorate for further laboratory tests.
It is noted that the 39-year-old was not arrested due to the expiration of the time limit for the immediate proceedings, while the case file filed against him will be submitted to the Athens First Instance Prosecutor's Office.
