Have you ever wondered if the good use of technology can improve the lives of citizens in Greece, both today and in the future? How can its good use positively affect health, education, transportation, citizen service from public services, commercial transactions, tourism, local government and ultimately the information, quality of life and time savings of the citizens of a country?
The online survey entitled "Can the good use of technology improve the lives of citizens in Greece?" by the Electronic Commerce Laboratory of the Athens University of Economics and Business "ELTRUN" and with the support of Ericsson attempts to record the opinions of as many citizens as possible on how the good use of technologies can change the public and private life of our country for the better.
Mr. Vasilis Koulouris, Ericsson Head of Sales Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece & Malta, stated: “Ericsson supports this important initiative of ELTRUN, because it will record citizens' opinion on how the Networked Society can improve our daily lives.

The Networked Society is the creative revolution of citizens through the good use of technology. The Networked Society and ICT technologies bring together more freedom and equal access, more rights, new models of service, work and collaboration, freedom of choice and more knowledge for citizens.

ELTRUN, The E-Business Research Center – Laboratory of Electronic Commerce and Business
ELRUN (www.eltrun.gr) is the only officially recognized research laboratory in Greece (Government Gazette 181/2001) for e-business. It was created in 1992 at the Athens University of Economics and Business with the founder of the center and its current director, Professor Giorgos Doukidis.
ELTRUN is currently a laboratory of the Department of Administrative Science and Technology. Scientists/professional consultants in e-business, IT and business administration also collaborate with ELTRUN in the context of specific projects. More than 100 research and development projects have already been successfully completed at ELTRUN. Many of these, in fact, are international in collaboration with universities such as MIT, Cambridge, LSE, INSEAD, EPFL.
