Apple's upcoming 'HomePad' will offer a magnetic wall-mounting feature and more, according to leaker and prototype collector known as 'Kosutami'.

In a new post on X, Kosutami mentioned that one of the HomePad prototypes has a MagSafe-like wall mount feature, as well as doorbell integration. It’s said to rely heavily on Apple Intelligence. It seems he’s seen this prototype up close.
Apple is said to have been working on the device for several years, aiming to serve as a central control hub for smart home products, allowing music and podcast listening, facilitating video calls, and providing instant information such as weather and calendar events. The device is expected to feature a 7‑inch square screen and a front camera.

Kosutami said to MacRumors that while the name ‘HomeRad’ is used internally, it is not clear if that will be the product name used at launch.
Earlier this week, the leaker reported that the HomePad is now expected to be released in the fall of 2026. The fall lasts from September to December and usually coincides with the busiest Apple release period of the year.

The device was initially rumored to be released in early 2025, but due to delays with Apple Intelligence, the apparent release date was pushed to early 2026 and now to the fall. The rumored launch timing means that the HomePad could arrive alongside products such as the iPhone 18 Pro in September or the redesigned MacBook Pro models in October.
