Bitcointalk.org, the popular international forum dedicated to the digital currency. The forum's administrators have temporarily suspended its operations and the full extent of the attack is being investigated.
The hackers, nicknamed “The Hole Seekers,” who breached and defaced the website, likely also gained access to the user database.
"There is a possibility that attackers stole data from our database by executing arbitrary PHP code," the administrators stated and asked all users to change their passwords for security reasons.
The website restoration process will not take long, as there are sufficient backups. However, the website will not be restored until the vulnerability exploited by the hackers. The administrators are offering 50 Bitcoins to anyone who manages to identify this vulnerability.
