Google Photos' upcoming Remix feature, internally codenamed "Bluejay," will likely support video editing.

Creating photos and videos with artificial intelligence is extremely popular these days, but many people are using it to redesign their existing photos and videos. For example, the Studio Ghibli recently went viral, with people having fun creating versions of themselves in the famous artistic style.
We’ve already spotted Google Photos’ attempts to incorporate this use of genetic AI with a new feature called “Remix.” While the feature hasn’t been released yet, there have been recent indications that it will support both photos and videos.
Google Photos version 7.34 includes code that suggests the upcoming Remix feature may also allow for video editing. The word “ bluejay ” is the internal codename for the Remix feature, and in one line of code it is used as a temporary name instead of “Remix” (which remains under development and may change in its final form).

While the Remix feature for photos may offer styles like claymation and anime, the Remix feature for videos will include different style suggestions. We've identified three recommended options:
- Random style: “I am feeling lucky”
- Distinctive style: “Subtle Movements”
- Intense style: “Go Wild!”
In keeping with the general philosophy of the Remix feature, it's very likely that the Remix feature for videos will also use genetic AI to transform your videos into the styles above.

Google has not yet announced the Remix feature and it is still in development. We do not know if and when it will be available to users. We will update you when we know more.
