The Obstructive Sleep Apnea feature on the Galaxy Watch series, available through the Samsung Health Monitor, was initially released in 34 countries. This is considered relatively limited, considering that the Galaxy Watch series is sold in almost every corner of the world.
The good news is that Samsung is gradually rolling out this important health feature to more countries. Earlier today, the South Korean giant announced that the Sleep Apnea feature has finally received approval from the European Conformity (CE) agency, allowing Samsung to expand the feature to 34 European markets.

As the feature has also been approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and the Singapore Health Sciences Authority (HSA), Sleep Apnea will be available in these countries as well.
The feature is available on Galaxy Watch 4 series watches and later models running Wear OS 5.0 or later and must be connected to a Galaxy smartphone running Android 12.0 or later.

The Sleep Apnea feature is designed to detect signs of moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea, which typically manifests as significant breathing disturbances in adult users aged 22 and older , over two nights of monitoring.

Samsung has designed this feature to be used on-demand, so it is not intended for people who have already been diagnosed with sleep apnea. However, the company cautions Galaxy Watch users not to rely on this feature as a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment by qualified medical personnel.
