Acer has announced its first handheld gaming device, the Acer Nitro Blaze 7 , which is set to take on the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally.
The Nitro Blaze 7 comes equipped with a display 7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS promising vivid graphics and immersive gameplay. The gaming device runs Windows 11 Home and is powered by the chip Ryzen 7 8840HS, ensuring smooth performance even with demanding titles. It has an integrated Radeon 780M GPU.

It has 16 GB of 7500 MT/s memory, a 50 watt-hour battery, and 2 TB of SSD storage.
The Acer Nitro Blaze 7 doesn't have touchpads or buttons on the back, which are very common on handheld gaming devices. It has the classic ABXY buttons, D-Pad, LS/RS Sticks, Power button with fingerprint reader, volume, view and menu buttons, and other basic buttons. It also has two USB4 ports, one of which is located on the bottom.

Acer says it didn't work with Microsoft, so no major UI improvements are expected for Windows handheld gaming PCs. That's why it comes with more dedicated mode switch buttons, including a dedicated button to bring up the virtual keyboard.
Other features include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support
The Acer Nitro Blaze 7 could become a strong player in the handheld gaming. With its powerful hardware and other features, it has the potential to appeal to a wide range of gamers.
