Apple released the first public beta of iOS 18 on July 15, almost a month after announcing the update at its Worldwide Developers Conference .
This beta brings a slew of new features to iPhone , including customizable home and lock screens, and improves the organization of the Notes app with the use of collapsible sections.

Since iOS 18 is still in beta, it is recommended to download it on a secondary device rather than your primary device. Since it is not the final version of iOS 18, there may be bugs and battery life may be limited.
It's also important to note that this isn't the final version of iOS 18, so even more features may be added to your iPhone when iOS 18 is released. Apple has said that iOS 18 will be available to the public this fall, although the exact release date has not yet been determined.
If you have the iOS 18 beta installed on a device, you can create collapsible sections in Notes to keep the app organized.
How to create collapsible sections in Notes
1. Open Notes.
2. Tap the new note button — the square with a pen — in the bottom right corner of your screen.
3. Add a title to the note, such as weeks of the month.
4. Press Aa on the toolbar at the top of your keyboard. You may need to press the plus sign (+) in the top corner of your keyboard to open the toolbar.
5. Tap Header or Subtitle to name your sections, such as days of the week.
6. Fill in the information under your headings and subheadings.
7. Press the space bar right in front of your headings or subtitles and a down arrow will appear to the left of them.
8. Click this arrow to collapse all content under the heading or subtitle.

It is important to note that headings will not merge into each other, unlike subheadings and titles. However, if you add something under a heading, it may merge with the heading. Additionally, everything will merge under one heading if there is more than one heading within a note.
Now you can keep your Notes app organized and neat. I use this feature to keep track of my work week, as well as my meetings. This way, I can easily look back on what I worked on earlier in the week, or remind myself what was discussed during the 1:00 PM meeting instead of the 1:30 PM meeting.
iOS 18 is still in beta, so these features may have issues or not work properly.

There will likely be several more beta versions before the official release of the operating system to the public, giving Apple plenty of time to resolve any issues.
