US users only have a few days left to make the transition from Google Podcasts as the company continues the process of shutting down the service globally.

Currently, Google is sending notifications through the app to its users in the US that from April 2 they will no longer be able to use Google Podcasts and is suggesting that they transfer their subscriptions to YouTube Music.
Google Podcasts, the podcast streaming service, launched six years ago. Its app has over 500 million downloads on Google Play and in addition to offering a large selection of podcasts, it also allows you to subscribe to your favorite channels, download and play them on various devices.
The service integrates into the Google ecosystem, offering users personalized recommendations based on their interests, listening history, and preferences.
In September 2023, Google announced that the Podcasts app and platform would be discontinued in 2024, with podcasts being integrated into YouTube Music, unifying Google's audio services into a single platform

At the time, Google said the decision to discontinue Google Podcasts and move to YouTube was in line with user behavior and preferences, as data showed higher podcast listener engagement on YouTube than on Google Podcasts.
Although YouTube Music provides basic podcast listening functionality, Google Podcasts users find it too generic for their tastes, as it lacks specific search and sorting features and filters, and the app's dedicated discovery and management features are absent.
Currently, only users in the US are seeing the announcement of the service being discontinued with a set date of April 2nd.
