According to two people familiar with the development of the series, the Capture button is said to be mechanical and has additional functions. It will be touch-sensitive, allowing users to swipe to adjust zoom levels.
Since the Capture button can be pressed, it makes it mechanical, which is different from previous rumors. A mechanical switch that responds to touch could prove interesting, although there may be some difficulties in implementing it.
Such a button would pose problems for case manufacturers. Its touch-sensitive surface would likely be unprotected, and it would also require a lot of space for the half-press function to work.
