Fate/Samurai Remnant will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch and PC via Steam on September 28 in Japan at a price of 9,680 yen, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force announced in a now private video posted on the PlayStation Japan account on Twitter.

As the video was probably released earlier than anticipated, the western release date is currently unknown. But Koei Tecmo's global releases are generally released a day later in the West, so September 29 is the likely global release date.
The first purchases of Fate/Samurai Remnant will include the Phantasm Costume Dress for Musashi Miyamoto.
In Japan, the game will also be available in the following limited editions:
- Treasure Box (17,380 yen)
- A copy of the game
- Material for Fate/Samurai Remnant - Includes the novel written by the Fate writing team.
- The cover of the Book of Kogyoku (duodecimo)
- CD with the original soundtrack (one disc)

Fate/Samurai Remnant is an action RPG spinoff of Type Moon's Fate series that tells a new original story set in feudal-era Japan. It will feature the Waxing Moon ritual as an alternate version of the Fate series' Holy Grail War.
