Apple Music Sing
Get ready to sing along to your favorite lyrics! Apple just released the revolutionary iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, and tvOS 16.2 with an all-new karaoke experience called Apple Music Sing for all Apple Music subscribers – allowing you to sing along, controlling the volume of any track to make room for your own voice!
Available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple Music Sing works with Apple Music's real-time lyrics feature and gives you control over a song's vocal levels.
Enhanced iCloud data protection
With the release of iOS 16.2 and macOS 13.1, Apple is introducing its most advanced security feature yet: Advanced Data Protection for iCloud! This feature offers the highest level of data protection in the cloud with end-to-end encryption, protecting 14 sensitive categories by default—including iCloud Keychain passwords and health data. Enabling this feature increases the total number of protected data types to 23—showing how Apple is constantly striving to ensure optimal user security at all times.

Unfortunately the technology is only available in the US– however Apple has stated that it will become accessible globally in early 2023, although an exact launch date has not yet been set.
iPhone 14 Pro Always-On Display Adjustments
When Apple introduced the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, some customers expressed frustration with the lack of customization options for the Always-On Display. For example, iOS 16.1 doesn't offer an option to hide the wallpaper or notifications when your device is locked and inactive.
Fortunately, Apple took user feedback into account and included the ability to adjust Always-On display levels on the iPhone 14 Pro in iOS 16.2!
Temporarily bypass iCloud Private Relay
Apple's paid iCloud+ service includes a feature called iCloud Private Relay, which is designed to encrypt web traffic leaving your device so that no one can intercept or read it.
Private Relay usually hides your IP address from websites, but Apple knows that in some scenarios you may need to show your real IP address, so it has given users the ability to temporarily bypass this feature with ease.
Live Activity Updates
Despite introducing Live Activities support for third-party apps in iOS 16.1, Live Activities integration for select sports games through Apple's built-in TV app arrived with iOS 16.2. You can now enable Live Activities for the Apple TV app, as well as opt to receive more frequent updates from the per-app feature.
Please note that Live Activities in the TV app is currently available for MLB games in 8 countries, including the US, Canada, Australia, UK, Brazil, Mexico, Japan and South Korea, while NBA and Premier League games are only available in two countries - the US and Canada - but more leagues will be included soon!
How to install the update?
The easiest way to install the iOS 16.2 update is through your device's Settings app. Simply go to Settings > General > Software Update, then follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the latest version of iOS on your device.
