Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, several executives have left the company – the latest being the head of the company, Damien Viel. Damien Viel, who had been Twitter’s head of France since 2015, has left the company, along with about 50% of the company’s 7,500 employees . Recently, many employees and executives have left Twitter either through layoffs or resignations.

The large number of departures caused the term #RIPTwitter on the social network.
“ It’s over ,” Mr. Viel tweeted (in translation). “ Pride , honor and mission accomplished. Goodbye #TwitterFrance. What an adventure! What a team! What encounters! Thank you all for these incredible and intense seven years .”
Mr. Damien Viel had shown his support for workers who lost their jobs after Mr. Elon Musk took over, through a message he had posted on social media earlier this month.
"All my thoughts, respect, energy and love to all the tweeps around the world today," he wrote.

Damien Viel did not comment on the circumstances under which he left Twitter, nor did he clarify how many employees have remained in the offices in France.
Last week, Mr. Musk gave Twitter employees an ultimatum: either agree to work under grueling conditions or resign.
Refusing to agree to the ultimatum, many employees and executives began to bid farewell to their colleagues.
