In light of recent events on Twitter, Phil Schiller, Apple's head of events and the App Store, has deactivated his account on the platform.
Schiller often used his Twitter account to promote new Apple products and services and to talk to customers . However, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman , Phil Schiller's Twitter account — which had over 200,000 followers and was created in November 2008 — no longer exists .

We don't know exactly why Phil Schiller decided to close his Twitter account, but there have been many changes at the company recently that have divided users. The most recent concerns the return of former US President Donald Trump to the platform. Trump was permanently banned from Twitter after the riots his supporters caused at the Capitol in January 2021. However, the new owner of the platform, Elon Musk, conducted a poll and asked people if they wanted Trump. The majority responded positively and the former president's account was reactivated (however, Trump does not seem willing to return, saying that he prefers his own platform, Truth Social).

Recently, since Musk took over Twitter, the platform has lost many users, who prefer other platforms, such as Mastodon. Many celebrities have publicly stated that they are leaving Twitter because of Elon Musk. Apple's Phil Schiller deactivated account , without publicly stating the reason. This decision does not necessarily mean that there are problems between Twitter and Apple.
