The defendant is called Gordon G. Miller III, is 56 years old and is the sole owner and operator of the company software G3 Systems Inc. and the venture capital firm G3i Ventures LLC.

According to court documents, Miller became involved in several scams in 2017, in an attempt to "save" the businesses but also to maintain a luxurious lifestyle.

In one of his scams, Miller posed on an online forum as a very wealthy man and falsely claimed to be an expert in investing in companies Technology. Between 2018 and 2019, Miller took checks, received from the contractor, to a check-cashing store in Richmond to convert the contract-fraud proceeds into cash“.

Federal agents had been investigating Miller for some time. As part of the investigation, they also searched the businessman's residence. A preliminary examination of the electronic devices seized from Miller's home, revealed the presence of child pornography material.

Soon, a search warrant was issued specifically for this inappropriate material. The agents discovered more than 700 Video and photos of sexual content depicting minors.

The owner of software company G3 Systems Inc. pleaded guilty to all the fraud charges and possession of child pornography and is expected to be sentenced on June 14. For the fraud and illegal monetary transactions offences, he could face a sentence of imprisonment up to 30 years. Possession of child pornography material could extend the sentence by 20 years.
