Google is bringing the May update to Pixel phones with bug fixes.

Google has just completed the launch of the new Pixel 8a and the Pixel Tablet. On the other hand, the company has also released the May update for Pixel phones (May 7).

At suspension of the community, Google announced the availability of the update for Pixel devices running Android 14, including the Pixel 5a and above. The global versions of these phones carry the versions AP1A.240505.004/005 and also include the Pixel Tablet. While the availability started yesterday, Google says it will continue in phases over the next few weeks, depending on the carrier and model of the device.
While the May update includes the latest security batch, it brings bug fixes and improvements for Pixel users. The improvements can be seen in the stability or performance of Bluetooth LE audio for the aforementioned Pixel devices, including the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet.
Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro owners who were experiencing issues with camera performance under certain circumstances, such as when recording a video, have included a new fix in the latest update.

The latest update of Pixel phones follows the update of the pixel watch that happened earlier. The update was rolled out to all Pixel Watch models running Wear OS 4, and is also available in phases, with users expecting it in the coming weeks.
With monthly updates to Pixel devices and the launch of the Pixel 8a and Pixel Tablet now complete, the search engine is gearing up for the event Google I/O 2024 on 14 May, which is one week away. We will probably see software announcements accompanied by the Android 15, possible updates to come in the Gemini later this year, and a greater emphasis on artificial intelligence again.
