The Tesla Model 3 is still the best-selling electric car worldwide, by a wide margin.

Best-selling electric cars in the world
EV Sales Blogspot, which tracks electric vehicle sales globally, recently released its 2020 sales reports.
In the table below you can see the list of the 10 best-selling electric vehicles last year:

As shown in the table, the Tesla Model 3 is in first place with 365,240 sales. The gap with the next car, which is the Wuling HongGuang Mini EV of SAIC-GM-Wuling, is very large.
The difference between the Tesla Model 3 and the Wuling HongGuang Mini EV is greater than the combined sales of the next two electric vehicles on the list.
The value of the Tesla Model 3 goes up even more if we consider that the Wuling HongGuang is a very small and cheap city car that can't really be compared to the Model 3 or most of the other cars on the list.
As we can see, however, Tesla is on the list of the best- selling. The Model Y holds the fourth place.
There may be changes in 2021
Tesla recently started production of its electric SUV, Model Y, at the Gigafactory Shanghai and plans to start production at the Gigafactory in Germany in 2021. Therefore, during this year, the Tesla Model Y may rise in the rankings or perhaps even take the first place on the list of best-sellers.
However, other changes may also be made.
For example, Volkswagen managed to sell over 50,000 ID.3s in 2020, despite starting deliveries just before the end of the year. This means that during 2021, we will likely see a very large number of sales.
