Ivan Davidov has announced the new release of Minimal Linux Live (MLL). Release 15-Dec-2019. MLL is a tiny, educational Linux distribution designed to be built from scratch on your computer using a collection of automated shell scripts.
It offers a basic environment with only the Linux kernel, the GNU C library, and the Busybox utilities.
The changes in the new version include:
“Updated software base – the new MLL uses the Linux 5.4.3 kernel, and the GNU C 2.30 library with Busybox 1.31.1. The ISO image file is 10MB (x86_64) and requires 256MB of RAM to function properly.
It has DNS solutions from CloudFlare – by default MLL has three DNS solutions: Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8), Quad4 (4.4.4.4) and CloudFlare DNS (1.1.1.1).
It has the GraalVM overlay bundle containing the JDK, Python, Ruby, and Node.JS, as well as the OpenJDK overlay bundle containing the JDK from the AdoptOpenJDK project.”
