The developers of BlackArch Linux, an Arch-based operating system aimed at ethical hackers and penetration testers, have announced the release of new respins ISOs.
The BlackArch Linux ISOs carry the version number 2017.08.30 and the distribution's blog provides the following announcement:
“Today we released new ISO images for BlackArch Linux. The changelog: bug fix – strap.sh (the ‘http:’ has been removed for the PGP Server key), updated BlackArch installer to version 0.5.2 (updated SHA1 checksum in strap.sh). Includes Linux kernel 4.12.8, many BlackArch tools have been updated, all system packages have been updated, and all management menus have been updated (Awesome, Fluxbox, Openbox)”
“We want to thank all BlackArch users, the mirrors (mirrors) and its supporters.”
BlackArch Linux is available in Live and net-install versions. The download options include a dual-layer live image (dual-layer DVD) or an installation from the internet.
