Google has announced that Google Play Music, its music streaming service, is going to get some new updates and features.
Google now lets you play music based on your location, activity, or even weather conditions, which can be achieved using machine learning.
Google said: “Building on our commitment to helping you find the right music for every moment of your day, today we’re introducing the new Google Play Music – a new take on our streaming music service that’s smarter, easier to use and more supportive.
To do this, our new service uses machine learning to understand the music you like and then mixes that with signals like location, activity, and weather, along with playlists you’ve curated, to tailor music for wherever you are and whenever you want to listen. Launching this week on Android, iOS, and the web, the new experience will roll out globally (62 countries, to be exact).”
