The Windows we all know has changed. Windows as a Service is here with Windows 10, and it allows Microsoft to update its product continuously and release updates at a faster pace than before.
The new approach seems quite practical, although some flaws have been encountered, such as the difficulty for some users to receive the updates, or Microsoft's practice of making updates mandatory for everyone.
Is it too early to criticize the new model? Probably not..
Today, Microsoft addressed this very issue, explaining that despite the criticism, users should be patient with Windows 10 because it takes time to improve the new operating system. It also added that this cannot happen overnight.
Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, which allows registered members to test new builds of Windows 10 before they are released to the general public, responded to criticism from Twitter users, reiterating that with the new operating system, the development process will never end.
“Not everything can be implemented easily and quickly. But development is continuous, and it’s not all or nothing,” Aul said.

Of course this is true. Some features take longer to develop and others fail to work as expected.
This is why we have encountered several failures in the new operating system.
On the other hand, it cannot be constantly used as an excuse by Microsoft, which should check builds more carefully before releasing them to the public.
Otherwise, the company's rush to deliver new features as quickly as possible could end badly, since users will not stop criticizing the company.
Terry Myerson, head of Microsoft's Windows division, said much the same thing in July when talking about Windows 10:
“For the first time, we will deliver Windows as a Service, with a commitment to continuous innovation and security updates. In this world, Windows 10 will continue to improve and get better, for consumers and businesses.”
Playing the devil's advocate, we should add that Microsoft should seriously consider that Windows as a Service should not be an operating system aimed at testers, but at customers and businesses who work with their computers.
Faster updates at the expense of stability and generally at the expense of quality, is a very serious point for the evaluations that the company will receive from the end user.
