Google has announced several changes to the interface of YouTube's mobile apps (for Android and iOS). The update will bring three new tabs to your app: Home, Subscriptions, and My Account.
The new additions are already available in the Android app and will soon be coming to iOS.
The new Home tab lets you explore and discover video recommendations based on your viewing history and playlists you've created.
The new Subscriptions tab helps you find the latest videos from your favorite channels and creators. You can even tap the bell icon on a channel you're interested in to get notifications when new videos are uploaded.
In the new tab of your account you can check your playlists, view your history and uploaded videos.
The updated Android app version, as well as the iOS version, will support full screen playback on videos shot vertically.
Additionally, Google says you can edit videos, tweak the image with filters, add music, and upload them – all within the YouTube app.
