RouterCheck for Android checks your network router

How secure is your computer's router and the devices connected to it, every time they use the Internet? The free RouterCheck app for Android tries to perform a series of tests to reveal security issues or even vulnerabilities affecting your router.Router Check

You all know that routers are also vulnerable to attacks. Usually by using a strong password and the right type of encryption for wireless connections we consider ourselves safe.

But security isn't just about strong encrypted passwords. For example, if routers aren't configured to automatically update when new firmware is released, they continue to run on the old one, which leaves the devices vulnerable to attacks.

RouterCheck is a free Android app that scans your router for known vulnerabilities, but also for common issues like open ports or weak administrator passwords .RouterCheck

Simply click the “check my router” button to start the test. You will need to verify that you are the owner of the router before you can run the tests.

The test takes no more than a minute and when complete it will provide you with a detailed report.

Your report lists all errors and the results are displayed in color-coded order: green means OK, blue that the test could not be performed, yellow means there are some issues you may want to fix, and red for serious security issues.

There is a repair option that appears on errors in yellow.

For example, you might see a warning that your router allows pingable addresses. If you click the fix button, you'll be taken to a page that describes why this is a problem and how to fix it.

It should be noted that the instructions are general in nature, as routers use different menu names and navigation structures.
