The Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate investigated a case of pornography, via the Internet, against a minor resident.
A regular procedure case was filed for violation of the provisions relating to child pornography and child pornography, against perpetrators, who are reportedly located in Pakistan and the Philippines

The Hellenic Police's Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate, as part of a preliminary investigation, investigated a case of child pornography, via the internet, against a 12-year-old Greek minor.
In this case, a regular procedure file was filed regarding a violation of the criminal provisions of child pornography and child pornographic performances, against perpetrators, who, as it turned out, are abroad, specifically in Pakistan and the Philippines. In addition, criminal prosecution was initiated for these acts, which are prosecuted as a felony, and the case was referred to the main investigation.
Specifically, the investigation into the case began following a complaint that unknown individuals - internet users, using the social networking platform "Facebook" approached the minor, under the pretext of offering her a job as a model, on behalf of a famous music band.
Initially, they extracted personal information and details from her, while then they asked her that for her alleged recruitment, she would have to call an unknown profile via the "Skype" application by making a video call. During the video calls, they asked her to pose in order to "test" her for the offered job.
Then, the perpetrators, acting deceptively, informed her that she had been hired for the job and asked her to go further and pose in indecent poses. In response to the minor's reactions, the perpetrators, using pretexts and threats against herself and her family, stated that she would face criminal sanctions if she did not comply with what they were asking of her and showed another profile allegedly originating from an agent of foreign security services, to emphasize their threats.
In order to investigate and solve the case, a thorough digital analysis was carried out by specialized personnel of the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate. From the ongoing methodical and thorough police and technical investigation, within the framework of a relevant order from the Athens First Instance Prosecutor's Office for a preliminary examination, the electronic traces of the perpetrators abroad, specifically in Pakistan and the Philippines, were identified.
The results of the investigation were included in the relevant criminal case file, which was submitted to the Athens First Instance Prosecutor's Office and the case has been referred for main investigation.
The police investigation conducted by the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate continues within the framework of international police cooperation.
Furthermore, by order of the Athens First Instance Prosecutor, which was ratified by the Athens Appeals Prosecutor, the digital identification data of the perpetrators are made public, namely the names of the disputed Facebook and Skype profiles, the URL and Skype names respectively, as well as instant printouts of the Facebook including photos posted on it, as follows:

- The profile on the Skype platform «ONE DIRECTION» with Skype Name: «onedirectionuklive»
- The profile on the Skype platform "Jorn" with Skype Name: "mrsorjorn".
This specific publication, which will last until 31.12.2014, is being made because the above acts constitute a potential risk to minors and aims to protect society as a whole, minors, vulnerable or powerless population groups and to facilitate the realization of the State's claim for the punishment of the above offenses.

The Hellenic Police's Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate, on the occasion of the specific case and further based on the investigation of valid information, in order to prevent illegal acts via the internet against minors, informs users that unknown perpetrators via the internet are allegedly approaching minors and recording them in indecent poses and pornographic performances via video calls.
Specifically, according to the above methods, the perpetrators are usually located abroad and use social media to approach minors, under the pretext of offering them work as models, on behalf of famous artists and music bands.
As for their methodology, they initially extract personal information, such as name, place of residence, telephone number, etc. and then ask them to call a profile via video call using popular online chat programs, such as Skype.
During the video calls, the perpetrators ask the minors to perform seemingly innocent actions (poses, etc.) in order to test them for the offered "job" and then proceed to ask them to pose in indecent positions. The video calls are likely to be broadcast live by the perpetrators to third parties, with the aim of obtaining a large financial benefit.
When a minor refuses to act according to their instructions, the perpetrators make threats using all kinds of pretexts, such as that now that they have been hired they cannot back down because they will face criminal sanctions, that their family will be harmed, etc.
Parents and minor internet users are urged to exercise particular caution, under no circumstances should they give in to alleged job offers of this nature and to immediately report incidents to the competent local authorities or to the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate at the contact details listed above.

- Internet use by minors must be under parental supervision in a common area
and minor internet users:
- Never send their personal data
- Never agree to participate in a video call with strangers
- Do not believe in job offers of the above type
- Not to send or publish their personal photos or videos
- In the event that any stranger approaches them in this way, they should immediately contact the Cybercrime Prosecution or local authorities.
