NASA 's Curiosity rover has reached its first designated point, the "Mars" Mount Sharp .
The spot, named Darwin, provides the science team monitoring the Rover with an opportunity for new measurements on the rock outcrops.
Curiosity has been on its way to Mount Sharp for several months and still needs some time to reach its designated destination. It is expected to arrive in 2014.
NASA's famous rover keeps sending back data from the distant planet. The one it sent from Mount Sharp is quite impressive. The panoramic photo was published by Universe Today.
